C Link’s VDSL grade connectors are offered
in both 307-type for COSMIC frame and electronic
cabinet applications and 310-type for conventional
frame applications in central offices, remote huts
and CEVs (cable entrance vaults). These connectors
are wired with CAT5e, 24 gauge cable and offer
lower transmission loss than standard voice grade
connectors. In VDSL applications they help to
achieve a higher maximum attainable bit rate for
the transmission equipment. The 307 version is
designed for use on the COSMIC II, COSMIC IIA and
COSMIC II mini distributing frame systems, as well as
the wall mounted AT-9049 protector frames. They
maintain the identical fit and snap-in installation as
standard 307 connectors and provide a protector field for standard 5-pin plug in protector units. Testing can be achieved through the test access ports on VDSL friendly 3-type
GDT or hybrid protectors (recommended codes: 3C1EW and 9A1A-HT). The unit comes with a wired cable stub for splicing into the outside plant. Equipment cables are field wired to the rear of the protector block using solderless wire-wrap connections.
The 310 versions are designed for use on conventional distributing frame systems. These connectors maintain the same footprint and can be mounted on the vertical frame bar
in the same lineup with standard 310 connectors. They provide a protector field for standard 5-pin plug in protector units. The 310A3 version has a square wire terminal cross-connect field located on the front panel that accepts solderless wire-wrap connections for equipment terminations.
